WELCOME LOVERS OF METAL!!! Autaric is a new band emerging from the coldest midst of the winter prairies within Saskatchewan, Canada. All four current members each came from different locations across Saskatchewan itself including Kelvington, Porcuipine Plain, Preeceville, and Regina. Together each member has brought their own style and originalities, each also influenced by some of the deadliest metal leaders in both today & years past. I suppose maybe you wonder where these four gents (Franko Hopkins: vocals, rhythm & lead guitar, Owen Larwood: backing vocals, rhythm & lead guitar, Brent Ziola: backing vocals, bass, and last but not least Adam Wilgosh on drums & percussion) came to meet? Well it has come to be told that the birthplace of Autaric was on one cold and windy summer’s eve in August at the 7th Annual Rockfest. Franko and Adam had just finished a set with their previous bands and in between band switches decided by magical choice to play a quick hint of another riff from another project they were in. A member from the audience who we had noticed was rockin out harder than possible was diggin’ what we had begun to play. He leaped up on stage, introduced himself and began to belt out some vocals of his own likings along with the tune we were playing. We later began deep conversation with this Owen of Porcuipine Plain and also learnt he was a guitarist. We then quickly pieced together that the other project, Revoltus (where bassist Brent Ziola comes from), in which we had played the riff of on the stage that one night, had been looking for a guitarist of talents. After one night of jammin’ some tunes together, we quickly and solidly all agreed Owen was the guy for the job. Now at dawning of this new formation comes a deep, dark force in metal. Keep your eyes peeled for updates and more on the new and thundering AUTARIC !!!
